Driver Qualifications
Any application that contains (i) a prior Drug or Alcohol conviction or (ii) participation in a SAP program, within the last five (5) years, will NOT be eligible to lease on or to be employed with Cheetah Transportation.
To qualify with Cheetah Transportation Systems as a company driver or owner operator, you must meet the following criteria:
- Must live within 50 miles of the Houston Metro area
- Minimum twenty three (23) years old
- Minimum two (2) years verifiable experience
- PSP with 5 or more inspections with OOS of 30% or less
- No more than two (2) minor chargeable / preventable accidents in the previous three (3) years
- No more than two (2) moving violation convictions in the previous two (2) years
- No convictions for serious or disqualifying traffic violations in the previous three (3) years
- Excessive speeding; the greater of any conviction for speeding 15 mph or more over posted speed OR 20% over posted speed
- Reckless driving
- Improper or erratic lane change
- Following too closely
- Hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident
- No felony convictions involving the use of a commercial motor vehicle
